Better? hardly. more poplular? yeah it has more subs. but eve is the only game to have a constantly growing player base year after year. wow doesnt. it drops. then comes back when there is a new expansion. and constantly growing player base > drop and rise roller coaster.

and for a niche game. its one of the best. also. i believe every major gamer knows of eve and its difficulty or at least heard about it. Its probably one of the few games to ever make real news headlines.

In that case...WoW is crap. It's an MMO on rails, featuring only approved content and behaviors where the players have no ability to affect the outcome of the game. You play to the end of a story line again and again, doing the same thing over and over until Blizzard sees fit to permit you to buy additional content so that you can grind at that until you get bored.

But sure, if you think that's better than a game focused on letting players write their own stories, please...keep playing WoW.

wow Eve has come such a long way!! Apocalypse is still the ugliest BS in the game, but i really can't wait for the expansion to come out!! Fly dangerous my friends o7

WoW is not better than EVE. EVE is better than WoW in every way, exept one: Learning curve. EVE will eat you alive and shit you back out before you know what happened, WoW holds your hand the entire time....which actually makes EVE better than WoW already. Popularity doesn't indicate quality.

eh... video which brought me into the EVE years ago... eventually I got bored with the game, sold my two accounts and left... but space-based games are still my weak point... I just hope some other game with more advanced mechanics, new ideas and fresh concepts will show up some time

The best part of this game is that you actually can relate to RL to it, not saying that "oh I want to go to the store and buy some groceries". But the civilization on this game. You either join the industry, to earn money that way. You produce stuff, to get your money that way. And there are criminals, where "Cops" will shoot you if you enter restricted areas that don't have permission to. The criminal earn their money that way.

Also, EVE does NOT have seperate realms, only 1 universe. Sandbox.
