While the Qantas board has to be commercial and deliver the profits, what the Board hasn't realized, but everyone in Australia knows, is that it is such an outstanding icon of our great country, that every time they try to sell it off or break it up, there is a national outcry. Where else would you get that much national fervour for an airline. Long live our Qantas and leave it alone!

I'm sad that the best airline in the world doesn't fly to Greece anymore...I miss you Qantas , I want you to touch down again in Athens.

I have to say, Qantas is by far the best Airline I've been on. I went to Brisbane last sept., and heading there again, in under 2 weeks. Very relaxed, outstanding staff, remarkable safety. Only down side to this trip, is I leave canada, and will be on Air Canada to Sydney, and in comparison, Air Canada needs to take lessons from Qantas. They all do. Cheers to Qantas....

You mean those aircraft malfunctions (no fault at all of QANTAS) that were handled with consummate skill and resulted in exactly zero injuries? Yeah would much have preferred some lowly paid half trained yokel up the front when a 100 million dollar aeroplane experiences an explosive engine failure.

Qantas is really great! I had a very comfy flight from London to Sydney and was 100% pleased both with service and safety...I just loved it!
