vacuum manufacturers, some of them make the motors loud to make them seem powerful. i do not know if that is true or not. the best 3 vacuums imo are: miele, sebo, and kirby

My mom just got a dirt devil and dirt came out from the back when she was vaccuuming.

GREAT REVIEW!!! My uncle took me to see SWIV 12 times when it first came out so bravo for the soundtrack! Plus - Bra-VO for the proof-in-the pudding. I wish I found your vid before I asked for a Dirt Devil for my wedding registry. I can't say it sucks - the problem is just the opposite.

ONE QUESION- ARE THE MODELS THE SAME IN TERMS OF YEAR? THE ELETROLUX LOOKS MUCH NEWER THAN THE DIRT DEVIL? THE DIRT DEVIL YOU USE IS NOT A Canister Vacuum LIKE THE ELECTROLUX YOU USED, SO ..... I loved how they put Star Wars music to the Hoover lol. I think this video may convince me to buy the Electrolux Harmony. Mainly to clean my cats, atm only one of my cats will let me vacuum them.

In less than a year of light use, my dirt devil bagless will not turn on at all...any ideas?

actually that particular brand of electrolux is made by eureka corp. the actual electrolux brand is under lux corp now. but still they use similar parts and work as effectivly. I NEVER buy department store vacuums, they are loud and spew out dust everywhere. myself I have a filter queen and love it. i suffer from migraines and have to have a quiet vacuum, and you cannot get that with department store vacuums.the only bad thing with these small electrolux oxygen style units is the bats are small

Dirt devil is a very cheap make of cleaner and not built to last like most electrolux cleaners. Dirt devil is not made by royal, royal is just the name that dirt devil gave to one of its cleaners.

Electrolux is definately a better machine. Although I think it would have some real competition with an actual royal vacuum as the dirt devil line is royals economy line.
