Rare footage of Jerry Miller working out parts to Willie Nelson and Amy Nelson's Peaceful Solution as performed by the Remington Riders. Jerry is playing Buelah, his custom Gibson L5 electric guitar that he's played for decades.

  • I just love this stuff! I feel spoiled because I get to listen to Jerry live here in the NW...

  • Thanks, earlybird, you are lucky indeed. Nothing like Jerry live. :o)

  • what year is this?

  • 2008. Same year we released Peaceful Solution. This Behind the Scenes vid is a Video Response to our Peaceful Solution.

  • superb insight into a tremendous musician :-) there should be a dvd made with this clip being an out-take in the "extras" section - hah!

  • Thanks, Brian, that is a great idea!

  • Simply amazing guitar work. He sounds as good, if not better than when he was with the Grape. Definitely one of the greatest guitar players from that era. The man knows how to play the guitar, that's for sure.

  • Only Jerry Miller could make a Giant L5 Sing like that. He's even better now.

  • I held that guitar in my hands about 30 minutes ago.

  • I'm going to a blues jam that he's hosting tonight. @earlybirdpainter, you have it right.

  • Awesome!

  • A wonderful section of guitar playing. I enjoyed #2 best.

  • You keep getting better and better!!!!

  • @zinnington

isnt that a byrdland? uncle ted (nugent)could make one sing too.

  • Jerry you are still one of my favorite guitar players of all time and you haven't lost a lick brother, thanks for all the great songs and memories, love you to Jan

  • amazing stuff, keep on rockin Jerry!!!

  • When he was with Grape Jam, he did a tune called Boysenberry Jam. It sounds like straight pentatonic notes and simply in E min., I think. The timing and groove of that tune is absolutely NOTHING like I've ever heard in blues/rock history or from any music at all, for that matter. There's this subtle slip off some of the notes that has got to be done just right, and Jerry does it. I wish I could see him do that again because, like I said, there is nothing like it.
