  • Wonderful tribute Christine and Chris! Excellent video work too!!

I notice that the vintage film shows the P-47 Thunderbolt. Is this the aircraft that Richard Albert actually flew?

    Slim

  • @texasmartini yeah slim. 2 P-47s collided over Wangford....

  • FYI - David Carroll is playing the acoustic bass in the video, although Billy Brad Fordham actually plays electric bass on the recording. David plays regularly with Albert and Gage, while Fordham and Steve Samuel (drums) perform alongside Chris Gage with Jerry Jeff Walker. Thanks so much for watching and sharing and for your comments.

  • What a wonderful and touching tribute!

  • Outstanding!!! My Uncle Hank was lost over Normandy the day after D-Day (17th mission out of Thruxton, England). I met another lost pilot's nephew whose uncle, 2Lt William McGowan, was shot down D-Day about 11 miles from Hank. We gathered in Normandy July 2011

    Peace.

  • This is a fantastic tribute to your uncle. My dad was in the air that day, training with Gabby.

  • Enjoyed finally getting to take a quiet moment to really enjoy this beautiful poignant piece. So heart breaking that his parents never were able to make the journey to Cambridge -- but I feel like you helped to complete the journey for them! Hugs, Nancy

  • Great job guys!

  • Excellent song and video. Happy Memorial Day to all vets and thanks to those who paid the ultimate price.

  • Beautiful job on the video. I heard you all sing this song in Belton at the acoustic guitar series. Thanks for sharing it on this Memorial Day.
