This phone is a steal with the contract, but is it worth changing to Verizon for it? Currently on T-Mobile. I want the Droid, but needing to switch phone carriers just to get any phone you want is a stupid idea in of itself.
Yeah, this commercial is right, lets add a real keyboard onto the phone when we only use it half the time. Most of the time your downloading the free apps and playing them, why do you need a keyboard... Oh wait!!! Dumb verizon...
Also! to continue.... Apple has its users and developers on a short leash...
Android OS is open source...you can work on the UI yourself if you don't like it. This is the reason Google is moving so fast. UI has been improving by leaps and bounds, Apple has had a few years head start, and Android is already rivaling it.
In fact... xkcd even joked about that...
Ok... I'm done... When its time to upgrade my phone, I'll be grabbing the Droid
@Ovechkin: I really don't want to debate... but I see 2 problems with your statement...
1) Not all the problems are addressed by jailbreaking... The biggest is still not fixed imo, and that is lack of a PHYSICAL KEYBOARD
2) Jailbreaking is not a solution at all... You void the warranty if you jailbreak, which means no chance at getting "The Genius Bar" to give you that free battery if and when your precious non-removable battery dies ....
1)I like my iPhone keyboard, its not physical but i can write TXT messages fast& tweet fast, you just have to use it lil bit and you got it 2)not true, if you jailbroken your phone you can simply restore it and take it to genius bar and they replace your phone, battery, whatever. And if you cant connect iTunes and restore it, that means 2*1)they replace you're battery and wont even care about it 2*2)you can do it by yourself using small screwdriver and new battery bought for 7 bucks, simple

Plus the phone's screen is 480p!

The fact that you need jailbreak in the first place says it all.
