Great film and love travelling, but I never understood why the character burned his money and then ends up working in a fast food and an farm later on. Anyway he undesrtood too late that traveling alone is goodbut the best moments of travelling is about sharing those good moments with others.

I've watched this movie with my best friend and as soon as the movie finished we just sat there for 45min until he said:"Man we need to hitch-hike this summer" And we hitch-hiked from Germany to Istanbul living off of 3-5€/day. Thank you Sean Penn for inspiring us!!!!!!!!!!!
