Just as the Gaastra label itself, the Gaastra Summer 2009 collection has an even more international character than in previous years. The collection will be presented in the form of a logbook of a sailing trip, with a separate theme for each day. The theme will be reflected in the clothing, both with regard to functionality and radiance, with own art works, material and use of colour. Of course, Gaastra has remained faithful to the unique mix of functionality and nautical lifestyle clothing which made the label famous. This successful combination is more varied than ever in the Gaastra Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

The collection has been divided into a Gaastra Sport and a Gaastra Breton collection.

Gaastra Sport
The first three elements of the logbook involve Gaastra Sport. As always, the key words are fresh, functional where possible, colourful and fashionable; moreover, the attractive fit, rich accents and innovative materials give Gaastra Sport a tempting, luxurious radiance.

Gaastra Breton
Whereas the emphasis of the Sport line is on functionality, the Breton part of the Gaastra collection is more fashion-orientated. Breton is characterized by a classic, chique nautical look, brought up-to-date each year with new fits, accents, colours and materials. The traditional nautical feeling of Breton is enhanced by the use of natural materials such as linen, canvas and cotton.
