Heroica Brass plays Gabrieli

Canzon Primi Toni from Giovanni Gabrieli (in an arrangement we've made for our sextet). The sound is from the camera only. There will be better quality recording made with studio mics, but its still not mixed with the video. This was a recording session playing in Cartagena de Indias. But there was too much noise from the street on the recordings.

too slow but it was great

My opinion about the tempo is that most ensemble play Gabrieli way too quick. They mostly use this pieces to show their technical abilities. It results in the listeners becoming accustomed to the too quick tempo thats why you feel it being too slow. This is the right tempo for such complex tones and harmonies to unfold in a rooms resonance -specially if its in a large room that carries the tones during long times.
