I was just there and I would NOT recommend walking around on the sea grass or soft coral with bare feet. I saw quite a bit of sea urchins while snorkling that area. Use caution. Oh yea and we got jacked up by the Mosquitos there, there were a TON! Went through two cans of mosquito repelent with DEET and we still got 20+ bites, major suckage. The snorkling was awesome, spent 5 hours doing it and still wasn't bored, the fish were very curious and entertaining.

@Raul79mty- believe me, the algae won't kill you. It's actually kinda fun to walk on.

I go here, to Bahia Honda, quite a bit... We love it !!! Its so beautiful, looks like a carribean vacation picture. Lol, emerald-clear water, white beach, awesome atmosphere. Made my eyes water in amazement, kinda like when i snorkeled at key largo.

dont worry its algae or seagrass as the comment bellow , when i was there i didnt saw any pollution,the beach was great for the area

yes its algea but dont worry a few meters from yhere there is agood part of the beach that you can swiim and engoy the sea depending on the weather of course
