Storm Chaser Verne Carlson was en route to Kansas to chase the Moderate Risk when he came across a developing supercell northeast of Colorado Springs. Rather than continuing on to Kansas, Verne got into position in time to document at least 3 tornadoes in Elbert County, streaming them LIVE on TornadoVideos.net!

  • @NBVvideos Umm rarely ever, honestly the closer you are to the mountains, the less tornados.

  • @emopope how often are tornadoes in castle rock?!?!?

  • aww the eastern plains get more crazy stuff in central we just get plain non bad rain, thunder and lightning, I wish we got something bad for once

  • @Xsighting101 Tornados are very common in Eastern Colorado. Tornado warnings every week.

  • In my last comment: maybe 1.5 to 2 hours southeast of Denver, depending on what roads you take.

  • @Xsighting101 It's odd to see large tornadoes this far west. Most of ours are a bit smaller. Elbert is maybe 1.5 hours southeast of Denver. Not sure if this was the town or county of Elbert.
