Yeah the dude that stumbles stumbled because he fuckin hit himself so goddamned hard
-
@13LuckyWishes Yes, it is very rough Latin, but still very cool :3
Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem. Dona eis requiem sempiternam.
Blessed Jesus, Lord, grant them rest.
Grant them rest everlasting.
-
I honestly thought it translated to:
"Oh my god, this is gonna hurt really bad."
-
I was so glad when I recognized the chant during a latin class! Monty Python taught us so much, Romani ite domum and stuff!
-
I am currently taking latin 2 as an elective, and the proper translation is:
Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them rest
-
I tried reenacting this in public. One person got the reference. The other two quickly exited so as to avoid any further exposure to my insanity.
-
Actually it translates to mean "O sweet Jesus, grant them rest" in English.
wow the guy next to the flag carrier doesnt even take blows to the head...he just lightly taps it...the guy who stumbles tho hits himself wicked hard haha

A note from your friendly neighborhood Latin student of six years:
The chant is pretty awful latin, but a rough translation if you really need to know is:
"Pious Lord Jesus, give him rest."
