    Uneducated? It's dialectal, it has nothing to do with education.

  • Great! This video actually sports correctly sounding Ä and Ö!

    It even explains how these vowels sometimes becomes wider and more open - mainly before the letter R - but not elswere...!

    Many young people (including those with "Learn Swedish"-videos) ALWAYS pronounces Ä and Ö in this open manner - or even wider. This started becoming prominent some 15 years ago, but it is really based on uneducated misunderstandings of language rules. (Some blame the immigration, but I'm not so sure.)
