Generating a 640x480 60Hz VGA signal from a PIC16F84 running at 4MHz. This gives a resolution of a whopping 26 by 480 pixels.

    Yes the 84 is way too weak, but this was just a proof of concept. I overclocked it to 10 MHz and got a resolution of 64 pixels horizontally. Still you can't really do much with that, unless you introduce a 74HC165N perhaps...

    Anyway, good thing you got it working, and good luck to you too.

    Hi. I don't think I have the source anymore (I'll look, I promise!), but I'm currently writing a VGA text mode driver for ATmega's. If you wish, I can share that code with you.
