2 of my 3 doves hanging out. Girl on left (the one cooing) and boy on right. The boy was responding but didn't do it while camera was on. The other girl is below them on another perch and you barely see her at bottom of vid frame. She's the one making the grumbly sounding coo in middle of the video in response to the other girl.

  • are doves good pets?

  • @katieenicole88 Yes. Sweet, calm, cheerful. Loving to each other. The males do a cute little mating dance but otherwise they are very quiet for birds. I really enjoy them.

  • Dude, sandy perches hurt their feet horribly.

You should get them either a concrete or a bamboo pedicure perch. Those have a smooth spot where their feet can rest safely, while the nails and beak are done by the rough underside.

Also, get them a larger wood perch, and make sure they spend most of their time on it so they will be healthy and happy.

  • @kztar621 as I state in my other dove video (in a response to something similar to yours), the sandy perch was only occasionally in their cage and and just one of many perches....they had wood ones otherwise and a few nests, never any foot injuries.... the video was posted a year ago so I wish people would get off my back about the sandy perch being in the videos

  • GET THAT SAND PERCH OUT OF THE CAGE!!!!

  • @m200mw what's with the yelling?

  • @smallgoddess you will cripple your birds if you use sand perches, there no good, hurry and get them out of the cage, for the sake of your birds
