What a long and strange trip it was

This is the final segment of a longer video of our summer vacation that I shot with my new Canon S5 IS. What a cool little camera. It's got a quick one-shot video mode button in addition to the many photo functions it has. It's like the S3 except the back screen is a little bigger and you get a hot shoe for canon flashes. Anyway, it was perfect for such a family ordeal -- err -- adventure. We rented this RV and went to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu, San Diego and Pismo Beach over 11 days. We had our share of trouble, but after it was all over, I'd say it was worth it.

$700 for gas?!?!?! holy Moly! Great introduction to the video, you made it sound as if the next batch of photos would be frustration and chaos of the trip, rather just the opposite.

I just picked up a canon s5 is too, and it is a good camera, however the photos come out a little soft and not as sharp as you would find on a pro dslr. the hot shoe is fantastic. works with older flash boxes!
