No comments, no Chapter 4. That's the deal.

I crept into the desolate playground, clutching my sweater closed. As the swings swung slowly in the crisp wind, I looked around the dimly lit park, seeing nothing but shadows of the park equipment.
"Hey!" The same voice from that morning came from over my shoulder, startling me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" Joseph said sincerely.
With my heart still racing from the scare, I managed to cough up, "No, it's okay." Looking over his shoulders, I added, "Where's your brother?"
"Ya know, it was awfully stupid of you to come out here at night to meet a stranger. I could have like kidnapped you or something." I covered my mouth in embarrassment, but he waved off his previous comment with a smile. "Just kidding. I'm a nice guy. But dont do that again, it's way too dangerous for a pretty little thing like yourself."
Feeling my face get warm, I demanded, "Brother!"
"Right, right. Here he comes right now with some duct tape and rope. We'll be at my house in no time," he stated nonchalantly. When I clutched my sweater tightly in fear, he chuckled and said "Just kidding!"
A boy a little shorter than he arrived behind him, with a Rolling Stones tee shirt and leopard print jeans.
"This is my brother---"
"NICHOLAS?!"
Nicholas squinted his eyes in the dim streetlight "TESSA?!" I rolled my eyes and exhaled deeply; he had ruined my night.
Joe stated happily, "Oh, so you guys know each other? That's convenient!"
I stepped closer to Joe, further from Nicholas, and whispered, "I. Hate. Him."
Completely ignoring both Nicholas' and my extreme disgust for one another, Joe wrapped his arms around the both of our shoulders, "Let's go kiddies. We have a walk to go on, if I'm not mistaken. And I KNOW I'm not mistaken." He raised his eyebrow as if to tell us to get going.
With Joe standing between the both of us to prevent any violence, Nicholas and I had constant harsh words for each other.
"You wore that outfit yesterday." I said sharply.
"You wore that mask yesterday. Oops, my bad." He snapped a small twig between his fingers.
Joseph intervened, "Tessa, he just wanted to look nice for you. What better outfit than the one from the first day of school?"
Slightly touched, I questioned, "You wanted to look nice for, for me?"
"Not you. The 'hot girl' Joe was telling me about." He spat the words so harshly that I couldnt be convinced that they came from a being with a heart.
"Your heart is probably a black hole, Nicholas."
"I bet it is after every bitchy thing you've ever said to me."
Joseph interrupted again, "Nick!"
"What?! I HATE her!" He turned away from Joe and faced me, "I. Hate. You."
"I hate every curl on your head. Every bone in your body. Every PITCH in your voice," I folded my arms. I disliked him, true, but I had never hated anyone in my life, not even him. But in need of a retort, I said that I had.
Joseph intercepted once more, "Whoa whoa, why dont you guys like each other?!"
Nicholas and I shared angry eyes, and said in unison "Because!"
"Because, what?"
Once again , Nicholas and I responded at the same time, but this time saying different things. "She's a bitch." "He's a jerk."
A disgusted look plagued Joseph's face almost instantly, "Guys, will you quit it with the name calling? It's not neccessary, and shows zero respect."
With folded arms, Nicholas replied, "Why should I respect her? She doesnt respect me." When I looked at him wide-eyed and slack-jawed, he continued, "You don't care about anyone elses feelings but your own."
"I do too! Remember that time... Well how about whe...Or even when I... Whatever, I care about everyone's feelings! Yours just happen to be stupid."
Nicholas turned to Joseph and returned mentally to childhood years, screeching, "See?!"
"Tessa!" Joseph repremanded as if he was my parent.
"What?! It's true! He gets so upset by everything I say! I don't ever mean to be, well, mean, but I stopped caring, because even when I try not to be he makes me feel like I am."
