  • She wasn't being rude. She was telling Naoko what Ikari had said about her. She was doing what children often do, which is repeat what they hear.

  • @BunnaySango

In the manga she wasn't being rude, in the anime she definitely was trying to be nasty. Hence "But you are an old hag, *aren't you*?".

  • @Kari166 As I said, nearly. It is pretty rare to see a genuinely emotionless character in anime; saying that is pretty much synonymous with emotionally repressed. It's hard to think that some people genuinely do see her as emotionless; even leaving Rebuild aside, her smile after Ramiel, and her sacrifice against Armisael... no, not emotionless. Not by any means.

  • @OrionoftheStar, she's not emotionless, she's just emotionally repressed.

  • i love rei and shinji is an emo XD

  • @ZachEatonMusic If you like avant garde stuff, then I recommend you to watch the series. Though the first season is childish, during the second season there is a 180 degree turn and the show transforms into a master piece. But the first season is a must-see to understand the second part in its totality. There is also a movie to that serves as a finale to the series called The End of Evangelion.

  • Whoa, freaky music -- somewhat of a mix between Romanticism and Impressionism, with a twinge of a serialistic tone. This is amazing...

I've never seen this anime, this video was shared by a friend. But it's really blowing my mind -- this is very unique, and evocative! It gives me goosebumps.

  • @BunnaySango I agree. Furthermore, she's *Rei*. She's less social than a hermit, and nearly emotionless. Honestly, its entirely like that she had no idea that what she was saying could be construed as hurtful.

  • @BunnaySango shes a very deep character, very hard to say really

  • @Luvinhas try staring at the disc version of Rei in the same scenario, and THEN tell me what u think haha
