The final physical version of the airsoft bomb prop
1.6.1 Changes:

-Removed pushbutton used for interrupt

-added chirp at 1 minute intervals (every time the counter hits 30 seconds)

1.6.0 Changes:
-Removed tether

-updated to the newest keypad library

-streamlined disarm code and count down

-fixed some LCD glitches, created new ones.

How it Works:
The bomb can only be turned on and off with an electronic key switch, I have 2 keys, one for each team leader/ref. To arm the bomb a 7 digit code must be entered. This starts a countdown. The countdown can be interrupted at any point by pressing the disarm button ('#'), when the button is pressed the user is asked for the disarm code, this is a separate 7 digit code from the arm code. After the disarm button is pressed, the bomb will wait 15 seconds for a code to be entered, if the code is correct, the countdown will end and the LCD will display "Bomb Disarmed". If the code is incorrect no message will be displayed, press the reset key ( the '*' key) and try again. If no code is entered after 15 seconds, the counter will restart and 15 seconds will be subtracted from the time left. When the countdown reaches 0, a siren is sounded and the LCD will display "Have A Nice Day". It sounds more complicated than it is, just watch the video. The siren is also "chirped" at 1 minute intervals (starting about 60 seconds after the bomb is initially armed)

Variables: - can be changed at any time using the USB attatchment.

Countdown time: 0hr:2min:30sec
Arm code: 7355608
Disarm code: 1761820

The Bomb can be powered by a normal 9v battery, or a 12v 1.6A/hr battery. Right now I have it attached to a small buzzer, but it has more than enough battery capacity to run a siren, strobe, radio, electric detonator, servo, or just about anything that would be useful to alert people when the bomb is detonated. The third (and final) version is also semi-water resistant. The only thing that is not sealed to prevent water damage is the keypad. If the keypad gets wet, the worst that could happen would be a short, resulting in random keypresses being made. This wont damage the prop, but it would make it difficult to arm/disarm. The prop should be fine in damp areas, and in light rain, but I do not recomend leaving it out if it starts raining. Put it under some type a shelter (a box, ammo can, bag, etc.) and make sure no water starts to pool on it.

  • @KruduxxNation Who was selling one for $500? I know theres a French company that sells them fro around $320.

  • @theonlywizdum lol... I was going to buy it for $500. Nevermind.

  • 2 people thought this was a real bomb...BOOM!

  • now to make it the best make silicon molds and make frames around the LCD screen and buttons

  • @theonlywizdum

Also, in case people just read the lists and not the site, those lists don't include $14 for the project box, $14 shipping ($7 USPS 5 day from 2 sites), and the $2 PCB (one $10 PCB cut into 5ths) The grand total is $100.37

  • @FragxPancake

Link me to your parts list then, mine are in the description.
