@friedie1jeff Actually, you are the jerk, since your ears don't work. She clearly says he can't go to Internal Affairs, that he must file a complaint with the sargeant of the officer. In other words their friend and drinking buddy. You really think that the sargeant will pass on the report on his own man to IA? That is why he is asking, because the policy makes no sense. You might as well file a complaint on an officer with the officer you are complaining about, it would get as much done.

She told this jerk how to file a complaint. What else did he need? He needs to get a life as an adult. The seargent at IA files the complaint on the citizens behalf because many citizens - probably this one is an example - cannot write succinctly enough. Or at least no tso all th elegas requirements of the complaint are captured.

@badpanda84 We did keep records but they were not very extensive and it would be easy to fabricate a name and contact number. I am not sure how they handle it now, this was over 10 years ago.
