Cung Le with certainly beat Silva in a Shashou match, but definitely not in an MMA event. Silva is taller (giving him better reach), faster, and more versatile. Cung will be out in the first round.

honestly i like both fighters and if it was striking vs striking ( PURE striking) im going with cung but if were talking about pure grappling of course De Silva now in a MMA it wouldnt matter cause these are such great dudes i dont think either one would care who won.. HUMANity Wins ;D

@Swingingmelodyman I said I don't look at it as a factor(at least not until after the second fight, which no ones what will happen, cuz it hasn't happened yet) . I don't care if you do, or the general masses for that matter....opinions dude. Ok, i forgot about the rib injury lol but that could've played a factor. But still i just see sonnen having a legit chance at beating A. Silva in a rematch, not saying it will happen. I actually don't want Silva to lose since he has done so much in the ufc.

@whatsflawless Doesn't matter if you look at it as a factor. It was a factor. Also, after Silva won, he spoke of being injured prior to the fight and that his doctors had advised him against it. I know this is old news, but, so was the first fight. The rib injury prolly had a lot to do with Sonnen being able to take him down. When Silva is 100%, Sonnen isn't gonna take many punches to the face to try and take him down before he himself is knocked out.

What happened to switching up styles when one didn't work? What happen to those amazing fire man carries and the suplex? What happened to training like a champion and being in shape?

Once I said Cung had a chance to beat Anderson Silva, now I don't even think he can beat himself in regards to training like a champion or getting in shape to fight competitively because he already gave up.

@Swingingmelodyman yes, if you didn't know about that its old news. was also debated a whole lot so i really don't look at it as a factor. I still think sonnen has the ability to take him down, he's cocky enough to win, and he will take shots to the face to get that takedown.

cung le got his ass kicked during his first ufc debut. There is no way he can take on anderson silva. Le doesnt stand a chance!
