this makes me sad everytime i hear this, but i can't stop listening to it!
-
@William321123321 if that isn't the case, those people shouldn't be entitled to their own opinion...
-
ive been to the menin gate and it is really touching and my great great grandad died at the somme ww1 so i pay all my respects to soldiers, raf and navy men of our armies that are fighting for world freedom and piece :)
-
@96rottie Maybe they disliked it because they were sad and they didn't like the fact of the losses, don't take it the wrong way mate.
-
The horrors of these wars was so terrible, I went to the battlefields, and the war graves, I've heard my great-grandfathers' stories and seen the images. For anyone to disrespect those soldiers, I find, is slightly inhumane.
-
@Zombuk ...yes? And again, not respecting those that died for your country makes you filth?
-
@redwillrise He was saying the people who disliked this tune, are pieces of filth, surely that is correct? Because they are not respecting people dying for their country.

This song should be played for the Americans, too. During both World Wars, they shed the same blood in the same mud as their British and Canadian allies, and that makes them brothers.
No matter what flag they died for, we will remember them all.
"And when he gets to heaven,
To St. Peter he will tell,
Another soldier reporting, sir -
I've served my time in hell."

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
