  • why? Because for those of us who live on our bikes, there's nothing macho about pulling a clutch in commuter traffic. This is like the best of everything I ever wanted with Honda quality thrown in as a bonus. People have bikes as a circus ride they use once a month won't get it. Riders with lots of miles love it.

  • yeah, stroke sucks... (at least, for me). And motorbikes like streefighter type should had this atomatic transmission. I mean those who had motors of 300cc below..

I think it's more safe when you can obtain a more quick response from the machine.

    Sorry; bad english... ='[

  • Ha! In 5 years most new bikes will be electric!

  • It is about time someone finally created a common sense bike, there is no reason to shift manually when technology allows for the automatic shifting of the bike. This bike is the future of casual riding and just as in the automobile in five years most new bikes will be automatic. And it will be fun to see all the skilled riders who can shift with their toe crying all the way to the end.

  • Automatic Bike??

    NO! Thank you

  • ...why?

  • ... and yes I do use most of the the revs on the bike low down (where appropriate) then sit on the motorway in 6th gear and don't bother changing.

@euhelde - How does this would handle at very low speeds such as filtering.

  • I really admire and hate this invention. I always thought they should make a (semi) auto bike while I was younger.

Any 16yr/45yr old can jump on an auto scooter and be doing 40mph in a few seconds. Now swap that for a bike with auto gearbox that can be doing 140 in a few seconds. The rider needs the same skill set for both to make them move, just more money for the second option.

As a big bike rider my thought is if you haven't got the skills to operate the bike, perhaps you shouldn't ride

  • 6. I can easily overtake practically anything on the road even without pushing the revs too much, and that's a good thing already (it's even a safety factor)

The revs are always there in case you need them, They're not going anywhere. ;)

  • 5 These bikes are supposed to be ridden like normal bikes (the engines are very similar after all). Don't forget that race bike's engines only last 1 or 2 races usually. These bikes have that extra power for some situations only (and always at their cost) for example, I wouldn't give up my bike's engine because even when I'm doing slow revs,
