  • only difference was to change it from 5 screws to 8, only 3 screws extra, no problem at all !!! changing pickguard on a tele is very easy, no need to put off the strings.

  • Do you think a tortoise red pickguard would look good on a 3 tone sunburst fender american special telecaster?

it has a black pickguard now.

  • @1996Prashant

i think this would look awsome too, there are already sunburst strats with tortoise pickguard out there and they look great, but in my oponion it would look best with a rosewood neck...

  • Yes, she's all dressed up! beautiful.

  • @tbdalva

thanxalot, I`m very pleased with "her"

  • I think the cv telecaster is extremly priceworth - in the best sense of the words. you get a lot more than you pay for. I´ve spoken to 2 differnt guitar services - both told me that my guitar is a really good piece of work (normally they should tell me that it`s a piece of crap and that it`s better to buy a new one from them...). Even youtube is full of people who dig this guitar very much. it`s "best bang for the buck"...

  • looks good, i have a squier tele classic vibe and have been looking to replace the pickguard on it but everywhere i look says they don't make them for the squier cuz its chinese and their different, did you run into any trouble with yours??

  • Looks great with the tortoise pickguard, only thing is the black pickguard is 5 hole and the tortoise is 8 which means making holes. This is realy a great guitar for the money, the input socket is the only thing you need to change, the stock one WILL fail, get a switchcraft. I played a lot of usa tele's and road worns in my local music store, none of them even came close to this, My advice is get one, the price is going up all the time, this will definately be a collectors guitar.

  • she is real purtty, i still cant decide between the cv 50s strat, tele or a epi g-400 i love the way teles look and play though if i get a tele ill drop a paf like hb in the neck to handle heavier stuff

  • I have the Squier CV 50's strat. It is incredible. Is the tele the same quality craftmenship and sound?
