@mopanahi I believe that Andy Dick did a parody about that. A 14 blade razor, that thing was huge

Can you find Feather's carbon steel razors in the states?

hello, hey i am interested in the straight razor. You mentioned you had the feather one, can you let me know where i could purchase that type of razor? i have had such a hard time finding that type of razor? i want to get one for my dad :) he has mentioned before that he wants one but he too cant find any straight razors?

Gilette and Wilkinson make disposable blades and sell them for double what it cost for making them. They sell shaving sets at break even or even loss in some places. Just to sell the expensive blades. HP, Xerox and Canon use the same scam with printers, not really anything new.

Strop one of those replaceable blades and it can last a year. I'm too greedy to use anything else.
It takes a little skill and a little patience, and is among the highest in terms of badassery. Does help to be comfortable with knives in advance, but rest assured that it won't take your face off like he said in the video. The cuts tend to be shallow and painless, if a little dramatic.
Works for women too, though beyond legs I'd go with a DE razor. No one has a good reason to use a disposable.

Straight razor: Hell no. I'll accidentally commit suicide :D
Safety razor: Seems great
5-Blade Disposable: Gillette scam

Have you tried different types of blades such as wilkinsons, and personas and varios other brands i have found the feather blades to be quite a bit to sharp to acutally shave with. Shouldnt you advise people to begin with a safety razor first, they are qutie a bit less dangerous and allow you to develop the correct shaving techniquest required for straight shaving.

@Norwasia89 Save your money and stick with the double edged merkur, i have been using one for about 3 years and i cant find anything that compares with that kind of shave for that little amount of money, the blades average from 50 cents to 1 dollar and if you are considering a straight razor or at least a good one look at spending 100 or 200 bucks not counting all the equipment you need to sharpen and maintain the blade
gillette is ripping people off. Accept it. Best shave is with a single blade razor. I've just tested it. I have a mach3 but single blades are better - much much less irritation.
