some of those avatars look like they sprang a freak show. If those are the finalists, i wouldn't like to see the rest! Sorry, but that smacks like all those SL competitions that only require an avatar to have a lot of friends who are begged and bullied into voting for them and has nothing to do with looks or talent! My avatar is Evangeline Biedermann, a work in progress, but seriously better put together than most of those 'finalists', not just in my own (not very 'humble' i admit) opinion :)

It's not a competition of who's really pretty. It's all about who they want to promote... in the corporate world it's called butt kissers. Some of these are truly horrid, some very simple and newbie looking. I mean cmon, this is SL! Where you can be anything;no excuse to not look drop dead gorgeous. I have seen some stunning avatars! Real eye catchers.. these dont compare.

I agree with NOYB. Some of those girls look like guys, those were NOT the best SL has to offer by a long shot, you may want to try harder in your search for Miss Virtual World, I hate to think people will think that is what the best looking women in SL look like, when there are some remarkably gorgeous female avi's in SL. Sorry just my personal opinion.

Are you serious? Those are the ladies you chose to represent the virtual world of SL? Sorry but I wouldn't have voted for any of them personally. There are some truly stunning ladies in SL that put time, effort, money and dedication into their avatars, its sometimes hard when seeing one in a picture to tell they are avatars at all and these are the women you chose? *facepalms*
