I killed that thing with one freakin pikmin because when he first popped out he killed every one except one because my friend was playing and he kept Missing him when he threw the pikmin, so I jolted the paddle out of his hand, and beat him with one pikmin. No Red juice, no purple. I must say, IT TOOK FOREVER

Atleast you did better than me the first time I tried it... -_- I got a Pikmin extinction. Oh, but when I went down there to get my revenge, I beat him in less than twenty seconds... Even my friend who was watching at the moment complimented me... ^^; And I only lost five Pikmin. But he's easier to kill when there are a lot of bomb-rocks in the area.
