I love to read your comments, so please keep them coming. Neil, if you're watchin', thank you for such a beautiful, whimsical song. It's inspired me for years. And by the way, it was fun seeing you perform in Grand Rapids, MI on your Greendale Tour. You jumped around and played with the enthusiasm and energy of a kid.

This slideshow I made simply to let the people who have never heard Neil's own version of his amazing song, have a chance to hear it. This is the first song from Neil Young's first LP called Neil Young released in November 1968. When records had two sides, this was the first song on the first side.

  • @mayanlongcount1 He was in his early 20's when he wrote and recorded this LP. If forced to choose, this would be my favorite of his solo LP's.

  • @edelenwolf69 I figure that the Indians were there in Wyoming before the cowboys, so I give them first place in the history part of the thread.

  • @edelenwolf69 They are both pretty impressive. So is Colorado. Thank you.

  • @lennyscumwage I don't know. He didn't play this when I saw him. It is truly unique and beautiful. He was so young when he wrote and recorded this. I'm just blown away by the LP.
