Speech by President Richard Nixon on April 30, 1973 announcing the resignations of White House officials H. R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman, as well as Attorney General Richard Kleindienst. Nixon also claims White House Counsel John Dean has resigned, although he was actually fired for co-operating with prosecutors. Its too bad that a great President became ensnared in his own lies. Nixon saw this as all politics and the more he lied the deeper he got into it. He hoped that it would all blow over.
