After going to the effort and expense of developing its own rear-wheel-drive architecture, Hyundai is moving quickly with production applications. Only four months after showing the Genesis coupe concept at the Los Angeles auto show, the company has the production-ready 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe on display at the 2008 New York Auto Show. It goes on sale in the spring of 2008 — less than a year after the 2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan.

I'm hoping 2nd or 3rd generation GC will come with two engine options:
something like Lambda V6 4.0 Turbo with 400HP, or Theta II I4 2.4 Turbo with 300HP. That'll be something to cheer about.
I just went to Greddy website and found out that Genesis Turbo upgrades were dropped from the list. I didn't bother to call them, but I have a feeling that Hyundai is already contemplating on putting in Theta II 2.4 I4 as the base option.
concept doesn't mean that's what you'll get in the final product. Better yet, you might not even get a final product at all. Yet, the ft-86 isn't schedule to even enter the market until late 2011. Yea, those specs will change over the course of two years. In all, the ft-86 looks like the hyundai since it hasn't reached production. Have admit that hyundai ignited a fire. A lot of major foreign companies want to bring back cheap affordable sport cars beacuse of them
gotta be kidding me, I'd go with mazda rx7 fd if I had the money and they kept making them.
I think it's going overboard to say that hyundai is any major inspiration to cheap sports cars, there's no history and following. I can't get something like that. (aftermarket parts and upgrades) i'd rather get something old for cheaper or something new like a bmw, subaru hatch, cobalt if it's gonna be just a powerhouse, or something simple like mazda 3
well, if you look at the competition and the price range there really isn't any other cars out there. The reason they say such a small difference between the 370 and Gc is because the 370 they test is the sports package and that starts at 33 or 34k. Quality wise, hyundai is up with Honda and toyota. Reliability long term wise I have no idea. They've went up since 2006 though.

Does anyone know about this?
3rd Generation Hyundai Genesis will be mine. I hope it makes it that far.

the cobalt and maz3 are mentioned for simple upgrades and because they are cheap and decent cars.
and oh man...they said 30 thousand.. I like the mazda mx5 if we are talking that price range, and they don't make s2000s anymore.
