@asfic2003 I can't believe I've just wasted 8 minutes of my life listening to them fuckin' retards, Walkabouts. Their version of this song sounds worse than a dentist drill. Another example of someone who is a Master Of His Craft...Mark Knopfler...playing a style that is not his norm buy yet making it his own. Playing exactly what the song needs. And of course there's Tom Jones...such a vocal talent~

@toby968 I think what makes this sound so different from MK's normal style, is the fact that (as far as I can think of) he has written and played very few songs in this metre (6/8), whereas Gary Moore had a good deal of songs in 6/8. And that nasal Les Paul tone is the same for them both.

MK and his guitar - How kool is that? Just makes my heart sing - Thanks to all these great videos. I've never seen him live and am so looking forward to MK's 2010 tour. Hope he's coming stateside!! :)
