Chicago Blackhawks official badges and logos are made in Quebec City, Canada
Forget the big industrial machines controlled by computers.
Since 17 years, Passion Sports Logo designs the legendary vintage badges with a special technique.
Not less than 20 steps are needed to produce a patch of the Blackhawks, which takes an hour to make.
Last year, nearly 6,000 badges of the Blackhawks have been produced here by the few trained employees.
However, each unit passes into the hands of the owner, who is the only one making the final cut.
In addition to the Blackhawks' logo, the company also manufactures the Minnesota Wild and obtained a few years ago, a contract with the Anaheim Ducks.

The Blackhawk crest used to be embroidered locally near Chicago back in the '60s and '70s. More handwork was done then rather than completely off of a template. You could tell that one person did all of the crests for a particular season even though you could see a tiny difference here and there from piece to piece. Every two or three years, you could tell that another person was doing the crests because they rounded the nose or did the blue trim on the yellow feather a little different.

I collect game worn NHL jerseys (lots of MLB too) and this is very cool. I'm interested in this process and I like the human touch put in the jersey logos and patches.
