@waltlantz lol me too. Except I'm going on 23 in a few months. I still remember most of it, like when she was making breakfast, and running all her errands, and especially the end when she hits John with the rolling pin that says "HIS." I think she was right to be upset with John, what with everything she had to do all day. And why were the kids drinking cream?

@megarouge2001 I'm sure it was some type of cereal they were mocking.
-
@NewYorkS4U The whole "His" and "Her" thing was quite common in those days in distinguishing things as belonging to a man or woman separately. Not sure where that came from though.

@TheBookWorm1718 We also had the lunch counter at places like Woolworth's I remember going to.
-
@Sylph70 Technically it was drug stores that had the soda fountain deal first. The famous soft drinks we know today were invented by druggists.

@OldsVistaCruiser Mergers suck!

@elma2824 Let's hope it'll become a standard!

I was a 90s kid, they showed this on Nick alot! Haven't seen it in a while, it's MUCH more funny at 24.
2:12 What's the boy saying, bango?

@TheBookWorm1718
Mango perhaps? Maybe he was talking about the juice. Or perhaps it was a brand of cereal or something in the 50's.

That's a lot of windows to keep open overnight. When I first saw this as a kid, I thought that the officer was being serious about that hydrant being there unexpected. I obviously didn't know what sarcasm was back then. When I use the meter, I always put in more than enough of how much time I'll be using. Ya never know, right? Since when does a drugstore count as a malt shop??? I never understood the "His" remark on the rolling pin. My media classes would love to see this cartoon.

@NewYorkS4U Back in the 20's through 60's, it was completely normal for small diners, or sodashops, to not only serve malts, sandwiches, and packaged food, but they were also liscensed to sell alcohol, ciggarretes, candy, and act as a pharmacy. Asprin, penecillin, perscription stuff, and it was all legal. Times do change though. Now I think the only ones still active have to be specially liscensed or can only sell over the counter stuff.

@Sylph70 are you a woman? LOL This is a great cartoon---Sort of wonder if women will be inspired by the cartoon like the latest tangled.

@elma2824 Nope. I'm a man. While Tangled featured a female heroine that was a little rebellious, she still needed a man to make her life complete, so it's kind of a grey area in the case of feminism.
