This video was taken from my Oregon Scientific ATC3K Action Cam as a test of the camera's ability to record driving. Car in the video is a Peugeot 306 "Genoa", and it was a typical English overcast day.

The Camera was strapped to the right side of the passenger (me) side foam headrest using the supplied Velcro strap and mount.

Image quality was set to high, which gives a 640x480 resolution. You can clearly see details such as the dirt on the windscreen, leaves on trees, and the close-up profile of my magnificent head and shoulder.
Watch the video fullscreen on high quality (480p), and see how the camera struggles to focus on something as I lean over to reset the trip counter after we reverse out the car park at the start of the video.

File was uploaded straight to Youtube, with no editing or alterations whatsoever.

Sound was on the low volume setting. Somehow it barely picks up conversation unless my head was turned to the driver, putting my mouth inches from the mic, yet when I wound my window down, all you can hear is wind noise even though we were driving at less than 30mph. I'll try and do a similar test with some foam taped over the microphone and the sound on high volume for comparison.

Don't bother strapping one of these to the top of anything that vibrates, because the image will have a strange up and down wah-wah vibration effect.
If you mount it underneath something, the buttons aren't accessible even when the camera is unclipped from the mount, it really needs to be stuck on the side of stuff.
Not sure if the soft foam headrest has anything to do with this, it could be better or worse mounted to a harder surface.

Don't bother buying it if you only want to use it at night, it needs daylight to see anything.

Next test I do, whenever that is, will be with the camera stuck on a helmet, with the volume on high and some foam stuck over the top.
