Chocky (Series 1 opening titles, 1984)

The opening titles of what is, IMHO, the all time best kids TV show. Chocky. It left a lasting impression on me, and so it would seem, on most people who remember it. Brilliantly spooky theme music and the lead role (Mathew Gore) played fantastically by the very talented Andrew Ellams.

My Mate Tim is sat here and he is having a Chocky flashback which is scaring the beejesus out of him.... I think it might be the drugs and he could've whited out but judging by the look on his face he's gonna need several years of intensive therapy! That is some creepy shit!

I'm happy I wasn't the only one who scared with Chocky intro. This tv program had a strange fascination for me... sometimes I think Chocky really existed, that was pretty strange indeed. I wonder if someone thought Chocky was real :)

Programme makers for childrens tv in the 1980's really credited their audience with a lot of intelligence.  Seems incredible in this day and age that a programme this atmospheric and sophisticated was made for children. A really enjoyable series,

@weegerri1sm To be honest Tim's be treading a fine line for a while now. The Chocky experience has sadly pushed him over the edge and now he's locked himself in the bathroom with the windows open and a Bic lady shave..... He's screaming "its the voice, Chocky's voice! It's telling me to shave all my body hair off"
