Possibly one of the most beautiful and moving songs of all time. Sandy, why did you leave us so soon? My bet is that you are singing duets with Eva Cassidy in heaven.

A dear, close friend posted this on fb. She doesn't ever post much but when she does - it's real quality.
Who knows where the time goes? If only we knew the answer. Be it one day, one year or half a lifetime. Time is passing quicker and quicker.
This has to be one of THE most beautiful songs ever.

to the guy who wants to use this as a ringtone you should be able to download the track onto your phone and then just use as a ringtone - at no cost

This is so obviously the definitive the version of this song that honestly bothers me that it's so unknown.

Acoustic electric bass? I, er, umm....

Amazing song that was played recently at my Grandmother's memorial. I have to catch my breath whenever I hear this song. It makes you think far back and brings out so many beautiful memories, even if they are brief.

thank you so much for posting this
The most beautiful version I have heard, ( I searched it out again after hearing it played at the end of the play Jerusalem) I have three versions, none as wonderful as this one. Thankyou so much for posting. Which Fairport Convention album is it on?

Find this song on a CD within a box set called Fairport Unconventional. The single CD, which you can get by itself, is called Classic Convention, and you can get through Free Reed Music in the UK. This is the most beautiful version to me, as well. Thanks for your comments.
