  • Too bad it stops in the middle of Britten's response to an interesting question. Many thanks anyhow and, yes, where can one get hold of this? I have two dvds on his life and in neither do some of what i see on here appear. What a shame. Very fine, thanks again.

    Sorry I'm not even sure if this is commercially available. I most probably recorded it from Radio 3 a number of years ago. I have hundreds of recordings that have been collected over 30 years.

  • Sounds like one of the "face to face" series of highly personal interview that the BBC televised in the 60s. But I could be wrong.
