Too bad it stops in the middle of Britten's response to an interesting question. Many thanks anyhow and, yes, where can one get hold of this? I have two dvds on his life and in neither do some of what i see on here appear. What a shame. Very fine, thanks again.

Sorry I'm not even sure if this is commercially available. I most probably recorded it from Radio 3 a number of years ago. I have hundreds of recordings that have been collected over 30 years.

Sounds like one of the "face to face" series of highly personal interview that the BBC televised in the 60s. But I could be wrong.
