Joshua Radin live at Webster Hall, NYC on November 19, 2009. There are musicians who just play at gigs without interacting with the audience, and there are some that do--Joshua Radin is among the latter. He pretty much gave us the history behind each song he played, albeit sometimes with too much info. Haha. I kid, I kid. He said his two albums are about his 2 ex-girlfriends, and he'll be recording his third this coming January, so he was half-joking that he needed an inspiration for his new album. Hah. I think he wasn't joking at all. I didn't capture all the banter in between songs, but the good news is he will release this performance on DVD sometime next year. He played a couple of new songs due for his next album which will be split in two: one is rock n' roll-ish/upbeat, and the other one's more mellow. The crowd was great. There weren't too many teenyboppers screaming, so that's comforting. Hah.
Oh, and for his encore, he went off-stage and went to the middle of the crowd and played a cover of Bob Dylan's song, Don't Think Twice, It's Alright.
And on random note, Zach Braff was there. Haha.
Here's the setlist, enjoy!
