HP Slate Commercial

If you thought the iPad was cool, think again. It seems HP has been secretly working on a competitor for the currently popular Apple product; the HP Slate. Unveiled at CES 2010, the Slate has already made it's mark on the public showing that the Slate is able to be a top class competitor against the iPad. I bet Steve Jobs is pissing himself.

From what I've heard, the Slate start at the price of $549 with a 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive multitouch display, a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor with UMA graphics and an accelerator for 1080p video playback . The Slate will also carry 32GB of flash storage and 1GB of non-upgradeable RAM. There's also a $599 version with 64GB of storage, and both models will have a five-hour battery, an SDHC slot, two camera, a USB port, a SIM card slot for the optional 3G modem, and a dock connector for power, audio, and HDMI out.

The HP Slate is set for release in June 2010. Show us something good HP!

theres no exact link that refers to "HP Slate Cancellation" on google, theres just forums suspecting this. Otherwise, please send me the link that actually confirms this. (it has to say "confirmed") HP only stated that the windows 7 OS wont do good for their tablet PC's, so they wont use it. They later went on to talk about webOS; that might be used in the HP slate. Not until u have the link that actually says "HP slate cancellation confirmed" i wont believe u...
