During my theology course, my lecturer in the Christian Ethics unit tried to tell us that this was an ethical issue. We should be against it to "protect the sanctity of marriage" (not an ethical point at all but pure dogma).
I immediately thought of all the nice hetro marriages where there is domestic violence or constant bickering. Marriage has no sanctity in itself. It is only as sacred as the couple makes it, and on that level yours seems more sacred than most!

Well I really hope "the land of the free" catches up with Portugal, Argentina and South Africa.(We're always making fun of Islamist countries huh) lol. Oh and I hope the land of the free get's rid of the Patriot Act. (Too KGB for my taste)

Your right! We must make gay marriage legalized evry where! This way it will be quicker to legalized rights for pedophiles, zoophiles, people who want to marry their siblings and who want polygamy! They are natural as well, you know.

Not sure how to take your comment, or whos side your on, but if you are being negative heres what I have to say. Maybe we should throw the word marriage out, call it Union, and still give gay people the exact same legal rights as straight couples, then we would finally have civil rights without religon sticking its nose in.
