Every year at the end of April, the company, Berkshire Hathaway, and their executives, Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, host a shareholders reception.
After a couple times where I traveled the same day as the festivities, I decided not to run myself ragged this time. Mark, Carlos and I came a day early to separate the day of travel from the day of festivities, so we could relax and just enjoy the twin cities of Council Bluffs and Omaha.
Thursday was our travel day, and Friday, we took it easy.
We stayed in Council Bluffs, just a short drive from Omaha. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and enjoyed a leisurely day while we waited for the rest of our crew to arrive.
