These are a few things that should be improved to provide a better experience. First, the only ones that are allowed to speak is the inner circle. Because of that, there should be a rotation after "x" amount of time with the outer circle. Second, students should politely listening to whoever is speaking and wait for the right turn to talk. In other words, only one person should be talking and the rest should be listening. Third, try to get everyone involved in the discussion.

I applaud them for learning how to think and not just what to think. The future looks bright.

@NoirFilleChante - I think its a good start. My students begin like this every year. About halfway through the second seminar, they really want to hear each other, figure out how to hold a discussion, and respect each other's time to speak.

WOW. They're not supposed to talk over each other like that. It's best to pass around a ball or raise hands - this is too much speaking, you can't even hear what they're saying.
