I just heard this group in live performance in Davis CA, as they toured the west coast. I'd recommend catching their show.
A very talented string ensemble, they mix bluegrass, jazz, and classical themes in original compositions with wit and reverence.
This early recording doesn't do them credit. But it does showcase their wit, as they vamp Stardust, as if written by Hungarian bluegrass gypsies.
I left their concert very impressed. I hope they keep playing, composing, and touring.
