@1862727 Pete Townshend is probably the greatest "all around" singer/songwriter/musician/pro­ducer/showman/ and only Paul McCartney comes close. Moonie was probably the greatest drummer next to Peart and Palmer. John Entwistle voted Bassist Of The Millenium. Daltrey probably the greatest frontman and one of the greatest singers in rock. The Who greatest live band.

@bakersk8r41 The Beatles were the most successful and influential. The Stones deserve the title greatest rock n roll band, (although I personally say The Who). The greatest live band goes to The Who. Led Zep the most popular. The Beatles band of the 60's. Led Zep band of the 70's. Michael Jackson entertainer 80. Garth Brookes entertainer 90. In order of importance in rock n roll, The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Led Zep.
