It's not a sad movie, it's a movie about learning to trust in something greater than ourselves no matter how rough it may get. It's about sometimes just letting an unseen force put us on the track that's best for us even if it doesn't seem so at the time. It's about letting go of what we think we want and allowing ourselves to be lead to what we need because sometimes what we need is also what we want and we just don't know it. It's a very profound movie. :-)

For me the sadest moments are when he meets his wife (Helen Hunt). Especially when she is standing in the rain at the house (he is driving away) and then shouts his name ... and he comes back and they are hugging and kissing each other and stop to restrict their feelings like before. And "Helen" says: YOU are the love of my life ...

the character "Chuck " aquires what the people of Joplian.Japan .sumatra and every other earth shaking disaster aquire.Thankfulness truly thankful, to be alive even in pain and sadness.somthing only obtained through extreme strife making even the air one breaths all the more sweeter.

I love this music and this movie. But what I love more is the many people penning "profound" statements about this music and its meaning in the hopes of having the top rated comment. It makes me laugh.

I was like 9 or 10 when I first saw this movie. We didn't have a DVD player so I would play it on our computer and watch it at least 2 times a day because it was because it was seriously one hell of a movie (or I think that was the only movie we had in the house o_o). I remember this theme song so much and crying to it everytime, I remember whining to get me a ball so I can befriend it and call it Wilson ... hoi.

Realy exept the publicity about "fedex' or Wilson, this movie is not a normale movie it's make personne thinking. Tom hanks take it good like anyone have done it also the productor use  a music style very special. I'm a man when i see it i was crying when he lost Wilson and this moment special withe Katy her girl friend.

Realy i've never seen a movie like that I realy love it.

I'm my city(tangier) my english teacher shown us the movie for the conclusion about the solitude. thank u :D

sad moment when tom is in the car with his former fiance and he gives her that sad "i should not have gotten on that plane, but you need to return to your family" look of regret.
