Donkey Kong Country 3: 105% T - The True End

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble. This section contains the steps used to obtain the final ending to the game by collecting remaining Banana Birds, Meeting the Mama Bird and reach the resolution.

You need the Gyrocopter to reach 3 Banana Bird Caves that require it. To get the Gyrocopter, you need 41 DK Coins. To get 41 DK Coins, you need to collect them from all stages including Kremtoa. So of course, to get the DK Coin from Rocket Rush, you will need to get the 'B!' coins from all the other stages. It all falls into place.

Heading to the upper-left corner of the Northern Kremishpere will lead you to the Mama Bird. She is imprisoned, but will offer you assistance if you free her. She will tell you how many Banana Birds you still need in order remove the seal if you don't know.

The last Banana Bird Cave is always going to be nine steps long. I screwed this one up a few times because my memory sucked and it chose a hard set twice in a row. Bleh, no big deal. Once you have all the birds you don't go straight to the Mama Bird (as I now found out), but Wrinkly's Save cave to begin the ending.

This ending is short, but it is quite sweet. You earn 105% clear if you used the code "TUFST" on your file at the beginning of the game.

Note: The code 'WATER' will cause your rating to change into "Cheatin' Chump" if you save the game while using coins you obtained from the secret waterfall that you swim to. What's interesting is that it doesn't matter if you get 105% afterwards as you still get tagged. Some of the other codes might do this too, like ASAVE, though they haven't been thoroughly tested.

Though, if you watched this entire walk-through, you might have an idea of why the rating was slightly faded...
