Comet Elenin Disintegrates? But ISS Evacuation Set For November, Coincidence?

Talk about your coincidences right, the time when the Earth is to pass into the now supposedly broken Elenin, but it just so happens to be the same month where NASA will have to Evacuate the space station for the first time in history? It will be unman for the first time ever, Wow...I guess the ships that would bring back the astronauts can only land in Russia, even if it mean leaving the ISS empty, why can't land anywhere else in the world? That why the astronauts can't stay, cause now the US can't send anything up because no rockets but in an extreme case they rather leave it empty, rather than, deal with a US landing it is not cost effective. Instead they leave the ISS unman, right...The mere fact that they already experienced a situation where the ISS would have been lost had an astronaut not been present. This is a no brain-er, the reaction of the spokesmen was a natural one, whether he be privy to the actual happenings or not, he knew that the dates looked bad, that's why he pointed it out. No judgement on the spokesman's intentions, but, he saw the connection as well, resulting in his statement. Remember, they have never left that station alone, never.

The would have us believe, "Don't look now, as our luck would have it, don't be surprise if we leave the ISS unman, during the time the Earth should be passing through the Comet's Tail".

Come on, guys. I would rather it be, "hey were bringing them down, just in case, even though we don't think anything is going to happen". Unfortunately they think We can't handle even that much truthful disclosure, need to know, you know...Or, maybe, its just a coincidence?...

The last thing that is great is the person they get to do the explaining these things, they are always the "Former, (FMR) this, or that. Why if this is something important enough to make press conference over, don't you think they should have a actual agency representing the agency to explain what is going on. But this way they can''t be held responsible for anything that may occur because it was a (FMR), no longer affiliated with...Nothing wrong with that, important to keep agency on tarnished. A little distance is good.

He studied asteroids for NASA,, (not a coincidence almost all astronauts study asteroids, it just fits right?), engineered intelligence-gathering systems for the CIA, (So he has worked for a department of the CIA, that deals with intelligence-gathering systems, Ok) and as a NASA contractor, developed advanced mission concepts to explore the solar system...(That's only a small part of his accomplishments. The guy is a team player, nothing wrong with being a team player.)

So I hope this is a coincidence, I just found it weird also...

and don't u think u should know a little more about rockets and their capabilities before u just automatically assume the mini rocket up there can just land "anywhere in the world"? i doubt ur an aviation expert so i don't know why you've made that assumption out of hand like that.

The photo of the "Disintegrating Comet" turns out to be another photo of a another comet turned upside down... and the SOHO images of Elenin disintegrating is anything but... The images show an object traveling towards the comet... but no disintegration. I can use NASA site... too bad for all the idiots who cant or wont... they still think ELENIN has disintegrated. Move on nothing to see here....

@chewy6i Then why give a date at all? This guy reaction, has everything to do with, "I am worried for my astronauts". Therefore, this a reaction that there are more important issues to handle and we are not going to be dealing with times and dates. At the same time it could be, "let me do my job", but then you have to add the part of that unlucky coincidence of the times being perfect to avoid any problems from the tail of the comet. Think about it, any little rock, with enough speed n the gas.
