I would say:

- napoleon did a mistake invading Spain, but he probably thought things will go the same (~pacific) way like Prussia or Italy campains.

- Spain and England has dishonored for ever with treatment of French prisonners : awful torturing or letting them dying of starvation on wrotten boats or Cabrera island. At the same time, Spanish prisonners were well treated in France, most of them working at the farm ....

@MrBilbo13 The French entered in Spain breaking another treaty (invasion of portugal) and killed a lot of people (3 of may for example).the traitors treaties are not respected.

One of the many movies made with limited resources and with many errors. Percussion guns, a French Bugler (In this time only Drum or Horn) , nobody loading. Cheap bangbang trash for TV, no historic documentation.

Only good point is that it shows the brutal guerilla war. Both sides behaved like xxx. Torturing of prisoners, raping (Both sides, don't forget the French camp followers) and murder. Shocking for the British forces who treated the French as soldiers and expected the same from them.

Se llama Guerra de la Independencia Española cuando los españoles invadidos por el yugo frances o mejor dicho el Imperio de Napoleon Bonaparte invadio España, nu supo entender como los españoles , hambrientos, sedientos, y sin patria ni bandera ....... como pudieron levantarse contra todo un IMPERIO FRANCES !!!! Les derrotamos en las llamadasguerra de guerrilla !!! Y en campo abierto tambien le ganamos en la trancendental batalla de Bailen !!!!!

francia siempre fue muy inepta para combatir en guerrillas,no sabian como pelear asi,solo peleaban a campo abierto,por eso fue que los españoles en en su guerra de independencia le dieron una paliza a Napoleon ,asi como nosotros los mexicanos le dimos una paliza igual y del mismo modo a su sobrino Napoleon III de 1862 a 1867..saludos desde Mexico
