@0163J They made Michigan relevant? Michigan had a title 2 years prior, not to mention the 10 National titles prior to 1997.
-
@jejesdad word. word. WORD !

The Bottom line, Michigan eradicated the Fab Five accomplishments, by taking every thing back, but MI didn't give back the money they made off the Fab Five, the Fab five, made MI, millions and made MI relevant.

@Lutherheggsghost Maybe no rings, but had pro contracts, can't say the same for a lot players that played against them.

Coach K said "it wasn't 5 of us it was 12 of us, I'm not sure a team should ever take on the character of a group within the team. I felt that was one of the main reasons it never achieved a National championship" WOW!!!! That's some wise ass INSIGHT right there! Not for nothing, The Fab 5 Was all Freshman when they lost to Duke, who were juniors and seniors. And I will forever represent for them. What Coach K said, can'[t be denied though, He was Spot on with his assessment of the Fab 5!

@pooledaddy1 They didn't need to win a championship hater - it's how they played. Duke's Hurley, Laettner & Hill team were a great 'team' no doubt - but they weren't freshman. Michigan were The Fab 5 and a bunch of astrophysic majors just trying to run the floor to keep up. Massive difference. Duke were the better team, but the Fab 5 we far better players and their longevity in the NBA proves it. Besides Hill, no one from that Duke team made an impact. It's a shame what happened to Hurley.

Most hyped team in history. They NEVER won a championship. Duke kicked their #@& three times.

Coach K needs to shut up. If it weren't for the refs giving them a lot of good calls, they would have 2 less NCAA Championships.
