Here's the deal...
The reality is people DO judge a book by it's cover. SO... the
question is, what kind of impression are you making?

When people visit your site or check you out on the web (you know they do)- are you consistent in your brand and your message? Or do they visit your Twitter page to follow you and you still have a generic default for a background (or an old background that fit a previous version of Twitter?)

I wish I could say I was more objective, but when it comes right down to it if a site isn't visually appealing, I bounce.

If I visit their Facebook page or click to follow them on Twitter and the message isn't consistent with what I see on their site, I get a little disappointed and my opinion goes down a bit (don't get all judgy on me- we all do it!).
